accessibility

Walden Festival takes place at a range of indoor and outdoor locations in and around the Leopold Park in Brussels, the green heart of the European Quarter. Meet us at our meeting point in the garden of the Museum of Natural Sciences (Vautierstraat 41, 1000 Brussel). How do you get to the Leopold Park?

public transport

We strongly recommend using public transport, both for environmental reasons and due to the lack of parking space in the area.

Train

Brussel-Luxemburg Station is a 5-minute walk away.

From Brussel-Centraal you can take bus 38 to Luxemburgplein (15 minutes), and from there the festival area is a 5-minute walk away.

During the weekend, you enjoy half-price travel with a Weekend Ticket.

Bus

Bus 38 or 95 (MIVB), stops 'Idalie' or ‘Luxemburg’

Bus 34 or 80 (MIVB), stop 'Museum' (opposite the Museum)

Metro

Line 1 or 5 (MIVB), 'Maalbeek' metro station (10 minutes from the museum)

Line 2 or 6 (MIVB), 'Troon' metro station (10 minutes from the museum)

by bike

The best way to get to Leopold Park by bike is by using the app Bikenode Brussels. And thanks to Bike Republic, you can park your bike in the bike park at the entrance to Leopold Park, rue Vautier 41, 1000 Brussels.

If you don't have your own bike, Villo's Brussels bike sharing service is the way to go. There are several Villo stations near the festival: Museum, Jean Rey, Jourdan, Luxembourg station. If you have a Blue Bike pass, you can borrow a bike from the bicycle point at Brussels-Luxembourg station (at the exit towards Rue de Trèves).

by car

There is little parking space in the area. If you have no other option but to come by car, the following options are available:

  • Parking Forte Dei Marmi: Maelbeeklaan 61, 1040 Etterbeek

  • Parking Jourdan: Jourdanplein 1, 1040 Etterbeek

  • Parking Tulp: Tulpstraat 39a, 1050 Elsene

  • Parking 2 Poorten (Naamsepoort): Waterloolaan 2, 1000 Brussels

Do you have a European (blue) parking card and is parking nearby a real must for you? Then you can use the designated parking spaces at Vautierstraat 41, 1000 Brussels. Contact info@waldenfestival.be before Monday 10 July 2023 and we will provide you with a parking permit. You can consult all other reserved parking spaces in Brussels here.

note:

The Brussels Capital Region has been a low emission zone (LEZ) since January 1st 2018. This applies to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, buses and coaches regardless of whether they are registered in Belgium or abroad. To avoid a €150 fine, check whether you can drive your vehicle in the LEZ (Belgian license plates) or register your vehicle (foreign registration).
